Training:
I love training heavy!!! But, life is nothing without motion, and
I want my joints to function for a lifetime. The principle of periodization
has helped me make great gains throughout the last 4 years-while
keeping my joints in-tact. Constantly changing my routine is essential
for the best results. Doing a wide variety of exercies and reps
helps me get the most out of my workouts by stimulating all types
of muscle fibers-since fast twitch are actually thicker than slow
twitch.
Cardio:
I LOVE spinning! That will be my next aerobic instructor certification!
In the off-season, I spin twice per week. When it's precontest time,
I always do 1 hour of cardio in the a.m. and p.m. Throughout college
at the University of Wyoming, I taught 2-3 step or hi-lo classes
per day. What a waste of muscle!
Diet:
When I'm not getting ready for a contest, I eat a bit more, but
I always eat "clean" with 1 cheat day per week. I see
no reason to have a false sense of being "huge" in the
off-season when in actuality, its fat! I like to keep a "real"
perspective of myself!
Please note: I do not do sessions of any type,
so don't ask as this is not appreciated.
